Websites for established local service businesses

Your work is good. Your website should make that obvious.

I’m an independent web designer working remotely with local service businesses across the U.S. I build clear websites so the people searching for you can see what you do, trust you, and get in touch.

Free and no obligation. A brief, personalized review of your site, or a planning discussion if you’re starting fresh.

Start here

Where are you starting from?

Whether you need your first website or a better one, the first step is the same: a free, honest look at where you stand.

The free website audit

A brief, personalized look at your website.

If you have a website, I review the four things here. If you don’t have one yet, we start with an initial planning discussion instead.

  • 01

    Presentation

How your site looks, and whether it reflects the quality of your work.

  • 02

    Clarity

Whether visitors can quickly tell what you do and where you work.

  • 03

    Mobile usability

How the site looks and works on a phone.

  • 04

    Contact options

How easy it is for customers to call or get in touch.

Services

Two ways I can help.

Every project is designed and built by me, start to finish. You work directly with the person doing the work.

For businesses that need their first real website

Website design

A professional site built around the services you sell, the area you cover, and the one thing visitors need to do next: contact you.

  • Clear pages for the services you offer
  • Copy written to explain your services clearly
  • Easy ways for customers to call or get in touch
  • Designed for phones first

For businesses whose current site is holding them back

Website redesign

Keep what works, fix what doesn’t. A clearer site that matches the quality of your work.

  • A look at your current site before anything changes
  • Content moved over from your current site where appropriate
  • Old page addresses redirected to the right new pages
  • Copy rewritten to explain your services clearly

How every site is built

  • Mobile-first design

Pages are designed with phone visitors in mind.

  • Search basics

Clear page titles, descriptions, and headings help people and search engines understand your pages.

  • Clear contact paths

How customers will contact you is agreed during planning.

  • Readable and usable

Readable text and clearly labeled forms.

  • You own it

Your domain and hosting accounts stay in your name.

Process

How it works

More about the process
  1. 1. Start the conversation

Request a free audit or book a 15-minute call so we can understand your business and what you need.

  2. 2. Plan

We’ll agree on your pages, content, and how customers will contact you. Then you’ll receive a clear, fixed quote.

  3. 3. Design and write

I design your pages and write clear copy that explains your services and makes it easy for customers to take action.

  4. 4. Review and revise

You review a private preview link and request changes. Two revision rounds are included to refine wording, layout, and details.

  5. 5. Launch

I help get your new site live and provide a simple handoff guide so you know how to manage it.

Pricing

A clear, fixed quote for your project.

Every business needs something different, so there’s no one-size price list. After our initial conversation and planning step, you receive a clear, fixed quote.

How pricing works

Why work with me

One person, start to finish.

Clear Web Builders is an independent, one-person web design business. The person you talk to on the first call is the person who plans, designs, and builds your website.

That means no account managers and no passing your project between people. You get direct answers and a site built around how your business actually works.

I keep the process simple, and every project gets a clear, fixed quote, because you have a business to run.

FAQ

Common questions.

Don’t see yours? Send me a message.

What do I get with the free website audit?

If you have a website, you get a brief, personalized review of its presentation, clarity, mobile usability, and contact options. If you don’t have a website yet, we start with an initial planning discussion about your business and what you need.

Is the audit really free? What’s the catch?

It’s free and there’s no obligation. If it’s useful and you want help, we can talk about next steps. If you’d rather make changes yourself, that’s fine too.

How much does a website cost?

Every project is different, so there’s no one-size price. After our initial conversation and planning step, you receive a clear, fixed quote. See the Pricing page for what every project includes.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the number of pages and how quickly content and feedback come together. We’ll talk about timing during planning.

Do I have to write all the content?

No. Writing clear copy is part of the process. I’ll ask about your business and write copy that explains your services and makes it easy for customers to take action.

Will my new site rank on Google?

I write clear page titles, descriptions, and headings so people and search engines can understand your pages. No one can honestly guarantee rankings, so be careful with anyone who does.

Do you work with businesses outside my area?

Yes. I work remotely with local service businesses across the United States.

Who owns the website accounts when it’s done?

You do. Your domain and hosting accounts stay in your own name.
